ジンの遺伝子が組み込まれた獣戦士ザ・ジルガルが登場します。スピードやジャンプ力、攻撃パターンなど、ジンのあらゆる能力がコピーされていて、勝負は互角に。心配する仲間たちをよそに、ジンは自分だけでジルガルと戦おうと単独行動を始めました。
フラッシュマンの中でも年上で兄貴的な存在のジン。正義感も責任感もひときわ強そうで、まさに往年の「ザ・戦隊レッド」という人ですが、このエピソードでは終始彼のつっぱしり具合が気になっていました。ジンが一人で戦っている間も、仲間たちは心配してずっと探しているんです(ところでジンを見つけられない四人がしょんぼりして階段に座り込むシーンがかわいい)。
仲間たちを危険な目に遭わせたくないという思いがあったのかもしれないけど、じゃあ貴方が一人で危険な目に遭っていたら仲間たちはどう思うと思ってんの？一人でかっこつけるんじゃないよ！！(唐突に始まる説教)
……と思っていたら、本編の最後。
「これからは一人で勝手なことをして皆に迷惑をかけない。わかるね、ジンくん？」と先生風のおどけた口調で言うブンに「はい！」とこれまた生徒風に元気よく応えるジンのシーンでびっくりするほど泣きました(感情を揺さぶられがちなオタク)。
それです！！私が言いたかったことそれです、ブンさん！！ありがとう、言ってくれて！！
ジンさぁ、一人で頑張るのもいいけど、もっと周りを見ようね！！頼ろうね！！約束だよ！！！？
刺さるエピソードがあると急激に熱くなるオタクで申し訳ない。自分でも何がこんなに刺さったのかちょっと困惑していますが、とにかく心の琴線に触れたエピソードでした。

At the end of the story, there was the following conversation.

Jin "Yes!"
It's a comically drawn scene, but I cried a lot.
